It seems like some Schools up Norf are dictating to the people what they can and cannot digest of a lunchtime! Zack you need to organise a rally in protest against this travesty!

"It states pork pies, sausage rolls and pepperoni sticks should not be included and neither should fruit squash or flavoured water."
Mr Fryer said his son's sausage roll was removed last Monday and given back to him at the end of the day.
"He was given a ham sandwich instead but he hates ham so there's no way he was going to eat it.
"He ended up eating a dry crisp sandwich. How is that any healthier?"
"The school won't even compromise and allow us to send sausage rolls once or twice a week. I'm furious."

That will be the day I allow someone else to tell me what my kids can or cannot eat.

Steve Fryer, whose son's sausage roll was confiscated, said the school should "stick to teaching kids".
How ironic.

This just in, after the summertime European egg scandal comes the British chicken scandal. Fiddled sell-by dates, old meat mixed with new, returned chicken cycled back into the shops. These motive-less crimes are always the hardest to solve! :old:

I'm sorry but my trip the UK definitely sold me on the deliciousness of the sausage roll. A travesty to have them banned at school. What's next? You gonna ban the bacon sandwich too?
-
So what?
God himself forbids me from eating pork or shrimps. I still eat them and he can't do anything about it. What can the schools do that god cannot?

I have tried to replicate a proper bacon butty for years. Can't do it. Biggest issue is the roll. No decent bakeries here imho.
But yea, dig where you are coming from as relates to sausage rolls (and bacon sandwiches)....

I think the underlying implication is that regularly buying sausage rolls and putting them (cold) in your child's lunchbox so you can spend more time on Facebook is an automatic F on the parenting scale.

What's wrong with shrimp? Bugs are very nutritious :old:

Apparently woodlice taste like shrimps when cooked and they turn pink.
Since they are very small it seems hardly worth it catching them, they run away when discovered, which is not being a good sport :old:
Bozon i believe looks a bit like Charlton Heston and John Denver.

I ate an earwig by accident once. It was all fatty and bitter.
