Title: Range text?
Post by: atlau on September 29, 2017, 09:20:31 AM: Hi, thanks for adding a range text channel. Correct me if im wrong but teammates need to be tuned to that channel to receive correct? I found out that most people arent, which seems to defeat the purpose. If they are tuned to country should they also automatically get local country text?

Post by: atlau on September 29, 2017, 05:47:18 PM: Just did.. now can see it. However it appears that most people don't have it enabled, which kinda makes it worthless. I wish it were more of a subset of country channel.. where if you were on country < XX miles you could at least see the text.

Post by: Lazerr on September 30, 2017, 12:06:35 PM: I think a MOTD in the MA for a few weeks notifying current customers that it needs to be set. This is a great idea for range communication to help cut down some voice chatter and for volks without a headset.

Kinda like guard on radios in real planes. Dont need to be tuned to transmit to receive.

You can also drag indivdual tabs out of the chat window to create a second one on screen. If you have enough room, you could monitor several channels at once in different windows that way.
