Maybe. But it's a Meridian jet. Serenity is in Kingsville.

Training jets can't reach Meridian from Kingsville, anymore? :O

They're not in the same Wing/Squadron. I doubt they know each other. (Not impossible but...)

Thanks for the info. Crummy last few days.

We went to SERE together barely a month ago. The kid is in the class picture sitting on my desk. The IPs bike is still sitting in front of their hangar.
We weren’t best friends or anything, but it does hit close to home. No word on the cause yet, and I’m proud of our guys that no one is even speculating out of respect for those lost. It will likely be six months before we have even the initial investigation results. And while we look forward to learning how we can avoid a similar fate, I know I’m personally almost dreading the report because I appreciate the serenity of the moment.
Great men, both. And tragically ripped from us far too soon.

Sorry for your two fellow officers and their family and friends Serenity. I saw this in several of the daily defense journals I read this morning, and came here right away and searched your name as I knew you had your squadron VT number in your sig, but couldn't remember it, and was waiting for the search to finish hoping I wouldn't see VT7. I was relieved to see VT21 come up.
You're an armed professional now, and don't need advice from civilians like me, but I do hope some higher power watches over you as you do your regular checklists, as your maintainers work on your birds, and mostly while you're out drilling holes in the air.

Always such a sad event. Especially sobering when it’s fellow aviators from the same base.

Whew. He still may be serenity's friend.

People died, bruh. Not a time for keeping score.
