I think it's time to make the F4uC free no perk.
My reasons, there are many better planes that are free. Granted the guns are good but not perk good. The NIKI and TYH, have good 20mm's also. The F4C is slow, D9, La7, 47M Fast with good guns, they are free. I'm glad to see the Spit 14 free, that was another plane I didn't think warranted perks.
Well, what's the consensus?

Your point is well taken but it really doesn't matter what the consensus is; it's Hitech's call. Make a reasonable argument with him and perhaps he'll unperk it. Bribe's have been known to work, too. :devil

You are forgetting something: The 1C has a the ability to carry rockets and bombs, enough for a hanger at least. The D9, La7 and 47M cannot carry a thing compared to the 1C.

No thanks. It was unperked in the past and they were everywhere. As it is now it doesn't cost much if you want to fly it, but the perk does keep the numbers down to a reasonable level.

I remember the days of seeing C-Hawgs dominating the environment. I doubt the perk cost would be removed in light of that, but good luck with this request!

C hogs have a very k/d. Probably a bad idea.

If memory serves, wasn't the C hog the reason the perk system was created? When it was introduced the skies turned blue?

14 perks is too much?
I don't think the plane is going to help you in this instance. You might want to learn to fly, then perks won't be an issue. :old:

The C hog was originally not perked. It my memory is correct , it was dominating to the extent of 35% of all sorties were the C Hog.
So no, it's not going to happen.

The perk on this thing is so light, you could fly a perk farmer for a few days and harass the arena with one for a few more days. Wonder why he didn't ask for the 4Hog which would be an all around better ride for Melee arena combat. I keep running into HO experts all the time these days when one dives at me. :O

Just an fyi, the P47M is not available in AHIII. I think it was available in AHII. The N version is available and carries much more ord than the C Hog.

:headscratch: Unless this is some backhanded "It's not technically a P47M" thing, the M is most certainly available in AHIII.

Ummm the 47m is more prevalent than spits in AHIII. If it’s a 47, about a 90% chance it’s a M. Now as for a c-hog, it’s a D with 20s. And it’s perked because of those 20s. Now as for a dog fighter both the 1A and the 4 far outclass it. The 20s make it a better assassin because you only needs one or two pings to remove a wing. Keep it perked....and I fly hogs most of the time.

A very quick way to check for air to air 'dominance' in the arena is to look at Kills-Deaths.
This is the Air to Air K-D chart for tour 14, shortly before the perk system was fully installed:

The C hog is dirt cheap anyway. For just a few more perks you get the tempest which is a much better ride.

I don't see it on my clipboard, I have it scored as Fighter and it only lists the 47N. Can't pick what I can't see.

You're not getting it. Not the button on how you want to score it. Look at the TOP above the names of the planes there are header tabs that pre-sort and filter out options. Fighter, bomber, ATTACK. The P-47M only shows up under the pure fighter tab, regardless of how you hit the button to score it. You need to hit the little "all" tab to show all the planes, tanks, boats, etc.
P.S. There are nearly 100 planes in this game. EVERYTHING you see here:

Is in the game, for anybody to use. If you don't see it, change your filter at the top of the plane list in the hangar.

Once again, if you look at the top of the screen, there is an "All" tab, then one called "Fighter". After that comes the one you have selected in that picture labeled "Attack". If you click either the "All" tab or the "Fighter" tab, the P47M will appear.

Okay, then you said the 47M wasn't even in the game. I think that spawned all the confusion. Volron meant the 47N. Everybody else was questioning your sanity for a second.

That's just wrong. They were /are available in both versions in the very same way.
