Twice in the last two days I have had a CTD while in a 262. No problem, I'll just re-launch the game and hop back into the same sortie. However, every time I'd try to re-launch the game will show up as a white screen and quickly come up with (Not Responding). This was also after multiple restarts. After multiple attempts on the third restart it finally let me back on, however the sortie timed out and now I'm in the tower out half of my perks.
Dxdiag if that helps at all:

Would you please send a little more of your DxDiag output? Down to and including Sound Devices is what is needed.
Notice that you don't have to copy and paste it to the text window, you can also send it as a .txt file in the Attachments below the typing window.

Whoops, here's the whole thing. I am currently doing some testing with my RAM sticks to see if there is any issue there. Maybe it is just a fluke or something.
-
Thanks!
To start with, you have a bunch of audio devices there. USB headphones, motherboard built-in Realtek Audio and Nvidia HD-audio from your video card. They may interfere with each other.
If I read correctly, you have your monitor connected through a HDMI cable. Your monitor also has speakers - you know that, I'm telling it for future reference for someone who doesn't.
Now you can get audio to your monitor speakers two ways: Either through an audio cable or through the HDMI. However, if you don't ever listen to your monitor, you should disable both audio devices in your computer, leaving only the headset. If you do, using the motherboard audio might cause less conflicts.
For disabling the HDMI audio: Go to Device Manager, disable "ASUS VN289-C (NVIDIA High Definition Audio)", then go to Programs and Features and uninstall the Nvidia HD audio drivers. Uninstall the 3D drivers, too, if present.
For disabling the built-in audio: Go to BIOS/UEFI and disable the built in audio, then boot into Windows and uninstall Realtek Audio the same way as above.
Your issue might also be heat related. The 970 runs quite warm, at least mine howls like a banshee when stressed. Check that there's no dust buildup in the cooling fins.

Normally my 970 runs under 50C under load.
I will have to see if I can disable some sound devices. I usually swap to one of my monitor's audio if I don't want to have my headset on, but I can probably disable everything else.
Thanks Bizman, hopefully this will help.
