For the past few days I have been getting bad game freezes that last from 1 to 1.5 seconds. I'm not talking about micro-stutters, I've gotten used to those.
I've watched Task-Manager for any unusual behavior, observing temps of CPU/GPU/HDD's/MOBO at the same. Everything is cool as a cucumber.
CPU rarely goes over 25%, GPU may go as high as 75%. This doesn't matter, because even when the numbers are low, I'm still getting these hard freezes.
BTW, I searches for "game freeze" and I don't feel like reading posts from 2002.
This will happen offline as well, if that helps.
Edit: This can be moved to Tech-Support if not a bug...

I'm noticing similar freezes while watching videos.
Hoping this could just be driver related. I'll update my GPU driver and report the results.
Please move this thread from Bug Report forum, as this does not appear to be game related.

Thanks for the DxDiag. However, for it to be of any use you should include the Sound Devices, too, and everything in between.
You can also attach the entire report as a .txt file using the +Attachments and other options feature below the typing box of a new post.
-
Here's the dxDiag attachment.
Thanks Bizman.

Thanks, that told quite a lot about your system.
For what I could find, I'd try and uninstall the Breakaway Pipeline. It definitely interferes with the game sounds so it might also behave badly. Worth trying, you can always reinstall it. Another thing I noticed there is that you're an Windows Insider which means your version of Win10 may be very unstable just by nature. You're the guinea pig testing all the crap the nerds at Redmond invent in their gloomy chambers.
Other things to do is to power cycle your router just in case. Also check the activity of your anti-virus.

I'll try uninstalling Breakaway pipeline and see what happens.
I did update my GPU driver to Nvidia 388.13 and updated MSI Afterburner to their latest release.
I noticed an improvement using AHIII Dx9. Took a Niki up and just flew around online, until it ran out of gas with no freezes. Before, I was getting a freeze about every 5-10 minutes.
The bad part is that this driver doesn't play well with the Dx11 version.

I suppose you have disabled the Nvidia HD Audio in the Device Manager since it didn't show in the DxDiag. When updating the drivers I hope you did a custom clean install and unchecked all the unnecessary drivers (3D, HD audio and the extra software). If not, they can be individually uninstalled in Programs and Features in the Settings.

Correct on all accounts.

Unfortunately, a lot of problems you might have will be from the test builds from Microsoft. The recently released Creator Update has been causing a lot of problems all over the place.
New code paths for all the AR support, especially in the drivers, has been very problematic. Get out of sync between the video drivers and the Windows 10 version and all bets are off.
-
If you haven`t already then you could try to set your video card settings slider to performance in NVIDIA control panel and see if the freezes still happen.

Thanks asterix.
I believe this may be a GPU Driver issue. After updating to Nvidia 388.13 I no longer have any freezes.
The only problem I notice with this newer driver is that running AHIII in DX11 has some weird colors going on. DX9 Works fine.
I've reported the issue to Nvidia, so maybe they can straighten that out in their next driver version.
