While reading in another thread I saw Bizman suggested to uninstall certain nvidea programs. Previously I uninstalled the nvidea audio but I have the following still installed.
3D Vision Controller Driver
3D Vision Driver
Geforce Experience
Geforce Graphics Driver
PhysX System Software
So which ones can be safely uninstalled (excluding the graphics driver)? Video card is a GTX 1070.
Thanks. Av8.

The only ones you need are PhysX & Geforce Graphics Driver.

I'd even say the essential is the driver only unless you play games that support PhysX. Most likely your hardware is up to the task for it so let's forget about hardware requirements here.

Hey Bizman...<S>
Uninstalled all but driver and PhysX. Also ended tasks for nvcontainer.exe and .exe*32 that were showing in task manager.
Now however the nvidea control panel is no longer accessible in my tray. If I want to access it at a later time, what do I need to do to get it back?
Thanks.

For what I could find you're not alone. However, if you need the Nvidia Control Panel, it's in the Windows Control Panel. Right clicking on the empty area of your Desktop should also have the option by default. The latter can be turned on and off in the Nvidia Control Panel by choosing Desktop in the upper Menu Bar checking/unchecking "Add Desktop Context Menu". The Notification Tray icon should be in the same menu, for some reason or another it isn't there in my system either.
Since AH is the only game I play, I don't actually pay any attention to the Nvidia Control Panel. AH is designed to work at the default settings so I minimise all the features I don't need.

The system tray icon was removed when Driver 385.41WHQL was released on Aug/24/2017. (See attachment for PDF release notes.)
You can still access the Control Panel by right clicking on your desktop.

Thanks guys...I found it. Really should not need it anytime soon. I've previously made all my settings for AH in Nvidea control panel.
This forum is fantastic for q&a. <S> Biz & Coogan.
