Title: Bomber Indication
Post by: Flossy on November 12, 2017, 01:33:38 PM
First a story that prompted this request:

At the end of Frame 3 [Rabaul scenario] yesterday I came in for a landing at a field with a hill at the other end.... I was a bit fast and despite heavy braking didn't manage to stop before hitting the hill!  The engines were dead so I wasn't able to turn and go back onto the tarmac.  I knew I had lost one drone, but could see the other one sitting on the runway some way back from where I was, so thought I would be able to jump to it and get a successful landing; however, no amount of trying resulted in getting into the other plane and I reluctantly ended flight which of course resulted in a ditch.....  :(

I've just had a horrible thought..... chances are I was IN the drone after jumping around during attacks!  That would explain why I couldn't stop, and why I couldn't jump to the other plane (and presumably why I was not getting any text in response either!) - the only one I didn't try to jump to was #1!   :bhead

Why couldn't I think of that at the time?   :rofl

So my request is.... please can we have some indication of which bomber we are on (other than looking outside - I had lost a drone so I think that probably confused me)?  Maybe something similar to the gun positions?  Normally it wouldn't be a problem, but during a scenario it can often get hectic jumping between the planes and in this case probably cost us valuable points!   :bolt:

I made a similar request to this.  I always thought we could switch to our drones cockpit and control them at anytime.  I guess it turns out that we have to bail from one plane to
take control of the other.

+1 for your wish.

Thinking about this, I don't think I had any reason to jump to a drone during this particular flight as it was an aborted attempt to get a last flight in, so we didn't encounter any enemies....

I think you are right, 100Coogan, and we can control the flight from the drones.  I'm just grasping at straws looking for a reason why I couldn't get to the remaining aircraft in the flight after landing.  :)
