I downloaded CC cleaner and it shows i have duplicate files for nearly every thing in AH, should i delete duplicate files or is this part of AH?
-
Be careful with CC cleaner
There was a post in this forum recently, iirc, about it being infected with a virus or it might of been malware....
I'd go find the thread, but am in town waiting for others to finish up there shopping, so just logged on to skim the boards....
Edit: I bumped the CC cleaner warning thread that Skuzzy posted to the top for you, zack

Security notification from Piriform. (https://www.piriform.com/news/blog/2017/9/18/security-notification-for-ccleaner-v5336162-and-ccleaner-cloud-v1073191-for-32-bit-windows-users)
From what I understand the problem has been resolved. I still use it. So far so good.

Rgr Coogan....
Zack said he downloaded it, but it is possible still that he could have downloaded the infected version depending on where he got it.....
He most likely is OK, but it doesn't hurt to check and make sure.... Just being cautious
-
That is indeed possible TC.
The infected version was CCleaner version 5.33.6162.

Zack, if you have plenty of hard disk space, it'd be safest to leave the duplicates.
The infected version was CCleaner v5.33.6162 (and CCleaner Cloud v1.07.3191 for those who still use a 32 bit version of Windows). The version can be checked in Options>About. Previous and later versions should be clean.
