If the little guys didn't have big signs over their heads more bases would be easily captured ... to offset it make more than 10 troops required for a capture.

No icons that I've seen

go run some friendly troops on a friendly base and see if you see icons-you won't
-
You shouldn't see a huge red flag over enemy troops - or if you do it should only be within 200 yards or so. The smallest most elusive target in the game has a big red 'shoot me' sign overhead.

Huh?? I see them all the time, at least from a GV or manned gun. Is it different from the air?

Why should more bases be easily captured?

1) You already know if the town guns are down just by checking the downtimes list.
2) You have town resupply with M3s so that a WF is temporary at best.
Why should you see the enemy troops coming with big red flashing "kill me" signs as well? Especially since you can camp the map room under some trees on the hill and be all but invisible to the planes bombing the town.
-
If they don't have an Icon they will need to be screaming aaarrrgggghhhhhhhh all the way in like they do in movies during conquering moments and also flash the base (which they don't do if the GV bails after dropping)....
and we need to be able to run them over and splatter them all over our jeeps...
ooh..ooh ... we could also have it that we can run them over but not kill them, then get out and execute their writhing bodies with a 45mm head shot...

So people would not just let out troops at max range, end sortie and wait all the time. So people would fight more instead of sneaking bases, like often done with a GV field.

You will probably see some of that as well - but while the fool is waiting for his troops to run a mile all you have to do is resupply enough to get one gun up, or get a jeep to the maproom.

All you have to do...
My god what an interesting game that sounds like. All the things you can do while sitting in tower and waiting for your troops to run. All the heavy metal tracks you can listen to while driving a massive metal beast with supplies to those in dire need.

Kind of like what we have to do when sitting in the tower while the torpedoes we just dropped are running towards that enemy CV...

hopefully we will have some sort of FPS action troops going on soon I.E players running into the map room for a chat and mug of tea 5 humans = 10 AI troops for the capture, but I've always found it really cheesy that the AI run in a straight line.
Even a slower zig zag pattern would be better.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one...
