Greetings all. I have returned to AH to check out the newest version of the game. Enjoying it, great work HTC.
I am having issues with the Head Positioning. The default keys for this option are the arrow keys (not the arrows on the 10key). These keys move your head positioning around in the cockpit. The keys are mapped, the keyboard is functional. When trying to move my head position with the arrow keys, the head moves very slightly then snaps back to the home/default view. It does not matter the aircraft, vehicle or even in the tower, same result. I have a brand new X52 stick/throttle and this same function was mapped to the upper hat switch. I removed that mapping to eliminate the joystick causing the problem.
Any thoughts?

Check if any analog controls are mapped to head position.

Not only head positioning, also check the move left/right and forward/back, and up/down.
I used to suffer from that, too. It appeared that the culprit was the rocker switch on the throttle which I had mapped as left/right.

Thanks for the suggestions gents.
No joy. There are no other keys bound to head positioning. The only keys mapped are the arrow keys. Those mappings seem to be working but the head only moves slightly then snaps back to the default position.

I understand that you checked the keys, but what about each analog setting?
I had a similar problem with the same symptoms as you described. It turns out that I had the Slider on my X-52 mapped to 'view forward/back'
Apparently we can't have the keys and the analog programmed to the same command. In my case, my view was trying to stay where I had the analog setting.
So when I'd try to use the arrow keys things would get jerky and my view would snap back to the sliders analog setting.
I hope you fix it. These kind of problems drives me crazy. :x

Analog controls refer to the axis assignments, in case that wasn't clear.

And for further clarification, if needed, the axii can be in the stick, throttle, pedals and mouse. Check each of those. Mostly they're named X, Y and Z axii, but also "slider" can be used. Anything that has a changeable value from 0 to 65535 counts.
