I am experiencing constant Host disconnects, as of this morning. Ran 'tracert' to the server, and there is a problem on the 9th hop, in Toronto.
Is there a way to force the sim to take a different route, and possible avoid this troubled server?

I believe you have to contact your ISP to deal with that.

Your ISP would be the only one who could help with this one.

Ok....thank you guys :aok

So odd....
Spoke with my ISP. They were essentially useless.
Earlier this morning, I had about a 4% packet loss. Then I ran tracert....and seen hop 9 and 10....timing out, and assumed that was the issue.

Well.....seems I no longer have packet loss, but the time outs on hops 9 and 10....still timing out, then all the ms numbers after that, reflect what my daily time is to the server, 50 on avg. Not sure if its been like that all along, as I just moved to Fib Op earlier this year.
Guess I will go with...."if it works, don't try n fix it".................but it sure is odd, why there is two hops timing out, yet I can play the sim.

The hops timing out are the gateway routers to/from your ISP's network. I am seeing issues on the return trip as well, at those routers.
-
I had issues yesterday as well. My tracert was similar but I did not worry about it. Just logged off and came back 4 hours later. All good

It might be worth the call to let your ISP know what's happening. Many of their routing setups are designed to auto-direct traffic during busy hours. It's a very common mistake when setting them up to do it wrong such that once the traffic diverts, it doesn't come back on its own. That essentially funnels extra traffic to a gateway and leaves it there. Eventually traffic piles up on that router and slows everyone down. It's not supposed to work like that. The tech on the phone when you call isn't going to solve it, but they should pass it on to their network control folks and they will look into it.

I will give them another call tomorrow and let them know about this issue. My connection seems to be back to normal. No more host disconnects.
Thank you everyone for your replies. :salute
