My stick settings changed after this patch and I'm having trouble setting the back to how I had them.
I have a Thrust Master HOTAS. I use the twist for rudder and the rocker on the throttle for zoom in/out.
After the patch the rocker contorl for zoom in/out was removed and switched to rudder. No matter what I do I can't get it back to the way it was. I did not change it to that, it happened after the patch.
It worked fine a few nights ago when I last played. All I did since then was load that patch tonight and log in. When I saw the issue I restarted the game. When it persisted, I tried adjusting the controls without success.
I have not had this problem before. Was there an change in how the stick settings update?

I fixed it. I inadvertently hit a mode button on the stick. Oops

Thanks for telling the "fix". It will help whenever someone else has the same problem. :salute

I've had the control mapping change on one update the past 2 months.
Talk about wanting to p*ss someone off especially new people, that's definitely the way to do it. If I didn't just drop $100 on Trackir I'd a deleted my account as I was tired and pee'd off pretty bad. Play once or twice a week and run into that...yeah, not good.

Make a copy of your "settings" folder and should you have an issue including a hard drive crash and replacement you can set everything back to the way you like it but just drag and drop.

Game patches do not change settings, unless we explicitly list it as one of the things changed. Even then we do everything we can to preserve those settings.
Other things can have an impact, which we have no control over (USB resets, anti-xxx software interfering, Windows 10 update resetting calibration...).
I challenge anyone to find a patch which actually accessed the "settings" folder, where we said nothing about it. The files that are touched, in a patch, are listed as the patch is installed.

I have to reset my gun sights and head position after every update. They revert back to default. I'm using the Oculus version of AH.

Are you letting Oculus do the update or are you letting us do it?
Regardless. The head positions are saved in a file, for each plane. The files are located in the "settings\planes" folder and use the extension of HPS.
Check for them before an update, and then after an update.
We never remove files when we patch. Never. That does not stop Steam or Oculus from removing files.

You may want to make a copy of the folders Skuzzy mentioned, before installing the updates. Then you can paste them back afterwards.

Skuzzy, I'm letting Oculus do the updates.
Yeah Coogan, I should do that next time I think about it. Which is usually right after an update. :D

Oculus, on its own, could be doing it, but nothing we do removes anyone's files.

Just saying, I wouldn't want the nightmare of restoring all of my head-positions from scratch. :x
I see what you're saying though. Kinda hard to predict when an update will come. lol
