Probably be the first new nVidia card in 7 years I don't buy right away.  Nice specs, but IMO not worth $3000 USD nice.  Hopefully the HBM2 and Volta stuff will filter down by Q2 or Q3 2018 to some more sanely priced GPUs.

Usually this kind of move is designed to fund the consumer level gaming cards.
