Title: Random file download from forum .swf

Hi.

I get this for quite some time now on 3 different devices only on this forum.
It happens at random. Some days i don't see it at all and other days multiple times.

The files look like this: 8UlaAHdcRMg.swf     KCMBkQ6_hiY.swf     

They appear to be youtube file's but i am really not sure if they are. I never really dared to accept the download. If i look at the adres it seems to come straight from youtube. I wont put the link on the forum but i can send it in a pm.

PS: i use chrome

The forum is not doing that.

Those are flash downloads.  The browser would be requesting them.  They could be links to YouTube videos, in a thread, and Chrome is pre-downloading them for viewing.

That is my best guess.  I never see anything like this, but I do not use Chrome and I never will.  Would not surprise me if Google was pushing ads to Chrome while you are browsing.

That is kinda what I geused myself at first. But since its on 3 different devices I thought I should report it to you.

Anyway I will look into it further myself.

Like I said, it probably is a thread/post with those links in them.

Could be in someone's signature as well.

If you can isolate it, and let me know where/what/who then I'll check it out.

I have never had anything like that happen.

there was a thread on this about 6-8 months ago. I'd search for it but I'm on my phone. It is a YouTube site thing. I think the thread even had a resolution for the issue with chrome

I will keep track of the pages it happens on and see if I can reconstruct them. :)

I only get them on threads where someone has tried posting a YouTube video incorrectly.

I did that and checked a post with a youtube video and it did not try the swf download.
