Those arnt screen shots..those are 3d models.. screen shots are generated from in a game not a 3d tool.

Those are cute.

This is a nice model (note the pushed back canopy in shot #3), and according to Hotseat the shots are from the game engine.
Time will tell how the competition is going along (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

How do I view the .TGA files?

They look fine. Nothing ground breaking and they look up to par with what is currently available. It would bring WB's in line with the competition - graphics wise. I've also heard that iEN does not intend to anything different with the sim in regard to current gameplay like adding strat. That was my take from what HS wrote. IMO it really puts another nail in the coffin for AW and even FA II.
If I were HTC or CRS I'd not be worried as it's not the apprant leap ahead some folks seem to have been thinking it would be.
Had the MSCFS II screen shots been WB's III instead then I would have been very impressed. I guess it would depend on what the rest of the sim is going to be like to make any judgement or guess on whether it will be breaking any new ground or just playing a game of leap frog with graphics, damage and gunnery models.

Competition is good for end users (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Still no real screenshots of WB3?
Heheheh, why am I not surprised? It is now time to realize that WB3 is a urban myth.

fd-ski, with all due respect:
please do not bait HTC with that kinda stuff. There's no way they can respond professionally to it.
Besides, we want to see v. 1.02 some time soon, and if they catch wind of where iEN is in the development cycle, they may decide to go on vacation for six weeks. Show 'em the pearl harbor shot Verm posted. Let 'em think that is the competition. Not some non-functioning rush job straight out of the polygon-reducing machine. All you have to do is look at the files at http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Workshop/9193/Gallery/ (http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Workshop/9193/Gallery/) and it clearly shows that the "screenshot" was drawn with a 3D drawing program. No game engine is involved at all.
I personally like the one where the smoke appears as large round spheres.

I've been away from this board a while so I thought that I would see what's up.......
Concerning the screen shots......Look at shot #2 or #4 I think it is......and you will see the blue sky from the fog. It's all there.
Online siming is going to be getting great!!!!

Mickey, the ones I posted earlier were a joke (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) an obvious troll. Especially, If you looked at the bottom of the post where I inserted "whiizzzz.... plop", which is about the closest you can come to the sound of a fishing line being thrown into the water.
The pics that funked posted are real ones just released (coincidentally) today by iEN.
To me, the "screenshots" from iEN, look way too much like a 3D model from a drawing program, not an "in game" shot.

I don't know if they are from the game enviroment but it's very hard to make a judgement against that grey backgorung with no terrain etc.

That is also a clue to how far along they are to release...not very IMO.
But, I do hope it is soon, competition makes better software for all end users.

Use microsoft imager to view the pics. If you don't have imager (I think MS quit including it after win95, damn shame it kicked ass), then you can use the microsoft photo editor viewer util thingy. It should have come with win98 if you have that.
