Title: Your VR Cockpit??
Post by: germ on December 25, 2017, 09:49:14 AM
So who's gone all out and built themselves a VR "cockpit"? Show your setup!

Getting VR for Aces High really changed the game for me. So now I'm thinking about taking a little effort to build me a "cockpit" to further the experience. I came across a Company called VKB that makes some pretty awesome looking stuff for controllers. Curious is anyone has any experience? https://vkbcontrollers.com/

I'm thinking about basically building me a setup using the VKB controllers.

VR is quitye an amazing experience in Aces High.  If you haven't already, check out the Hardware and Software forum germ, you'll find a couple threads on VKB controllers there.

i don't have an enclosed space like yours (which is pretty cool btw!! Nice job!!) :rock but i do have a playseat off to the right in this pic, which has the seat and also holds the stick and pedals. It's only a little customized.

I have gotten into Iracing as well so I built me a dual sim pit out of plywood I had left over form my last house project.  Notice the car pedals are high and the rudder pedals low.  The steering wheel is forward then sliding the chair back I have joystick and throttle.

My TV-monitor is mounted on a swivel from an old bar stool so I can turn the screen toward another chair to work normal computer stuff.  I use the VR for games.
