Title: Autorecord with enemy <6k
Post by: atlau on December 25, 2017, 11:55:49 AM
This way your films wouldnt be so long if you happen to have them recording from takeoff to landing.

Would be nice and make films more short and sweet.

Yes or maybe only record +/- 1 min from anytime you shoot or get shot. Or it maybe a setting in the film viewer that can fast forward to the action

Or maybe just make starting the recording part of your pre-engagement checklist...

True but it would be a good quality of gaming update.

Also, it would be convenient to have the red recording "R" appear when an enemy is near.

Or not. We have complete control of our recording.  :)

Agreed.
I would not want to have to go through my films and filter the recordings that I don't want, because they were auto-recorded.
Much easier to hit the record hot-key before battle.

I think the wish would be for a toggle similar to that which we have now for recording all sorties but just skipping the climb out and RTB. I may be wrong but that's how I read it, if that's the case it wouldn't effect you if you didn't want it to.

As long as it was optional, then no biggie.

Yes my wish is to make reviewing film easier. Not to trick the system i to providing.me some notification of an enemy nearby.

After a couple of sorties one could quickly review all your engagements rather than have to spend wasted time looking for them. Heck just put some kind of marker on the slider that shows anytime you employ weapons or take damage. That would get you close to the engagement times.

I was thinking the same thing.. since our planes don't flash when an enemy is nearby, like the bases do...

OMG a gun-cam recording only option...   :aok

Any auto save option would help.  I would vote for an option of auto save all films, but a marker when weapons are used would be convenient.  Just ffwd to it.  Saving is reversible, simply delete.  Not saving is not.

It would pretty convenient to have a Date/time stamp as the recording save name by default.

Windows Explorer already does this.

You don’t say? Of course it does but then again what would be the issue of having it as the file name?

I did say.
Because that would be quite counter productive, wouldn't it?

Perhaps, maybe adding an option to format the title with a generic time/date stamp if a user would like to  and if they don’t then they can chose what ever they want.

Seems harmless enough
