Title: nVidia 65" Big Format Game Displays
Post by: Gman on January 10, 2018, 06:47:19 PM
nvidia and their partners, specifically Acer, Asus, and HP, are coming out with Gsync 4k 120hz 65" gaming displays this year.

I've been waiting since they delayed the PG27UQ Asus 27" 4k 144hz IPS LCD, and then they announce this...

For desktop the 27" new 4k will be what I'll want, but it'd sure be nice to have a 65" to replace the 55" OLED I'm using for gaming now on a TV in the "tv rooms".  Gsync, 4k, 120hz, all at 65", along with an integrated nVidia Shield - can't wait to see one now.

Now that's a size where you really can enjoy 4K! Not to disregard the speed either. A detailed image in the size where you really can see the details combined with fluid sense of movement, what more could a gamer want? Silly me, of course three of them!

Heh, I've actually seen a setup with 3 60" 4k doing nVidia surround, NCIX in Vancouver had it set up at a mall showing off the 1080 when it first came out, playing some racing games.  Looked cool, I immediately thought that it'd be great as a full sized cockpit/airline sim in a basement.

I imagine running 3 of these new ones would take a Titan XP SLI setup at the very least.  Still, I'm hoping they are around 2 or 3$k USD, I'll consider one seriously then, but not for $5k which is the rumor mill right now.
