Post by: alpini13 on January 12, 2018, 03:01:07 PM
will there ever be new aircraft added to this game again???  the last one was january 2014.....4 years ago.  is the continuing declining numbers a factor why we dont have any new rides??

While new aircraft are neat, there are already over 100 for you to choose from.  I'm constantly trying out different new rides for fun.  Eventually I go back to my 109s when I need some ego stroking kills, but there's no lack of diversity imho.

The latest rumor for the next aircraft will be hang gliders dropped from hot air balloons.

With horse cavelry deployed from the gliders!

I'm for ANY new or revamped plane. Off the top:

Japanese twin heavy fighter
Hs129
Wirlwind
G.50 or Re.2005

Additonal versions of existing planes:

Stuka w/ 20mms
Ju88, the ground attack versions
Tse Tse
Apache and mk1 stangs
B-25 j
Many more I'm sure

to be honest... a stuka d-5 with two 20mm cannons would be great for scenarios...and we have everything in game to add it.....also  a ki-61 variant would also be great namely either the earlier version with 4 x 50cal or the later with the same armament as already in game... both have higher climb rate and speed as the current ki-61.....a later version of the japanese torpedo bomber and dive bomber would also be nice.......but hey if you want a NEW plane...beufighter, or g-55 fiat or some kind of an axis transport...like the sm-82   would round out the sides.

Why another stuka?

Hs129 b3 would be fun for killing tanks. Though it wasn't much of a factor in ww2

the two stukas we have are...the early one...and the very late tank buster.....the most versitle d-5 could use its two 20mm guns to strike additional ground targets after expending its bombs and could actually dogfight.....

...could actually dogfight.....

No it couldn't and it will be nothing more than a target drone in the MA as are the regular Stukas.

some people may like to fly the stuka.. however, if your not good enough to be successful in it or are too scared to try...please, dont ruin it for other players who pay for this service and want to have fun.

I once asked for gliders. Make them stealth because they are quiet and can be able to carry a jeep and 3 troops. Kind of market-garden.

No!

I disagree. Alpini asked if it could be "a factor", not "THE factor". For me, the lack of new content is one (but not the only) factor for non-existent on-line time.

In the MA I've upped into some of those mass Ju87 fun missions from the past. I was thanking Hitech for the fact he never introduced the D5 version during the interception. Some of our hot sticks could make the Ju87 turn on a dime and force over shoots while the only thing saving anyone was those 7mm in the wings. The D5 would end up being a respected foe because you wouldn't know who was at the stick with those two 20mm in the wings.

Ive actually gotten a surprising number of a2a kills with the ju87g. Its an easy kill yet folks keep going for the ho and accepting 1:1 odds.

If you are going to add another Stuka, add an earlier model, Like the B-1 or B-2. Something  that is more representative of the Battle of Britain and other early war battles.

Or we could just add this to our flight gear:

Same with the Ju88
the A4 is a later variant
