Title: Mindnao Map
Post by: Popeye44 on January 24, 2018, 02:05:11 PM
Currently there no spawns between the Northern country and Southern. This puts the Western country at huge disadvantage. It also slows up play.
IMHO there should be spawns between:
A42 & A28
A46 & A27
A45 & A25
A44 & A3

I think this would make this make a lot more fun!

Eight spawns, an hour or so if you are honest and test your choice of locations in a GV for GV play compatibility. Just dropping them in, running a build and handing back the project files could create more problems than this is worth other wise. I've often thought NDisles could benefit with a spawn ring connecting all the countries on the map. Mindnao and NDisles were created in an AH era that organized groups of players had to be slowed down because of the strategic weight of numbers. Today as you have noticed, numbers needs to be encouraged and helped to follow along with initiatives to increase the possibilities for player activity.

actually you only need 1 spawn between any of those two bases lets say A46 to A27 and let the players fight it out-that would be a big fight to take or defend that point-spawn from A46 to A27 capture 27 and spread out or 27 to 46 let battle begin, and maybe less time and trouble changing the map, and since I don't know how to make a map, I don't have any idea on what it takes.

It really won't take much time with as few fields as are on NDisles, and with Mindnao, 8 spawns, 60 minutes along with testing. A minimum intrusion change on Mindnao would be a good test to see how much it helps and then based on that, considerations to older terrains. NDisles requires too much flight time for the smaller numbers we have since no one is following the capture path the original builder thought would be followed. The path is pretty obvious if you start looking at how the distances were setup where the shorter distances between feilds follow a wheel pattern around the terrain. It wouldn't be much trouble to add spawns along that path. Build enough terrains and you start seeing the paths and rationals in other terrains.
