Title: Question About P-40N
Post by: Vraciu on March 04, 2018, 11:08:20 PM
Does this model have any stretching issues?   Is it an "old" shape or one of the newer models?

I was thinking of trying to do one just for the heck of it and began wondering what to expect.

Any pointers are appreciated.

All the P-40's are from 2011 and have little stretching in the skin over 3D model. The only area I've seen any on the P-40s is the leading edge of the wings and the under side of the engine cowling. The P-40's are near perfect otherwise.

What schemes are you planning on doing on the N? I've got a couple that I want to do myself.

Five-victory ace Forrest Parham's LITTLE JEEP (23FG/75FS).  An old friend of mine.  Ran across a letter he sent me when I was in college.  Got the wheels turning.

I am by no means heart set on it.  Just an idea in the embryonic stage atm.

I also considered Lynn Jones' P-40 (five victories).  My sister used to do his teeth cleanings.  Said the guy was brilliant.

Parham's :

Cool. You might find the shark mouth a bit difficult to do. It can be difficult to line up all the elements over the seams. I'll send you a little something in a PM that might help.
