Very cool.

That is AWESOME!
Are you going to detail to the point of thump mats around blocks and tackle?
-
Your son is very gifted to build something as awesome as that only with a little help from his father

It will be fully detailed when it is done, down to having all 32 guns machined and carriages made.

Very nice and a great project to do with your son. I've read many books about the sea battles between the French and the British during 1700s to early 1800s. Ship boys (many pre-teen) would act as powder monkeys to bring the charges from the powder room to the guns. The powder rooms had no iron around that could cause a spark. The crew member sewing up the charge bags in the powder room had to wear felt slippers. Let me know if you or your son would be interested in some suggested reading. Anyways, the ship looks great.
Cheers, one-eye

Will do, he has been loving the documentaries on that era.
