Title: Off the corner of the map?

Sorry, noob question here.

If someone flies off the map arrows are displayed at the edge of the map pointing at him. What happens if someone leaves the map to e.g. northwest? Two arrows, one pointing nort, one west, both in the northwestern corner? I cannot remember having seen that, or something else.

No arrow that I can remember but every time I've seen it, someone had fallen asleep at the wheel.
