Look at the in game Game Sounds settings: Clipboard>Options>Preferences>Game Sounds>Microphone drop down menu. Make sure the device chosen is the microphone you're using. You can test it by tuning Vox to your GameID, your speech should repeat after a small delay.

I know you have already probably tried these things but just in case.
Have you tried using the keyboard to transmit using your Mic.

Just a reminder you can put your user id in the box to listen to yourself.

BTW put your mic gain to max on both sliders on the clipboard.

Put your name in the "V" channel of the radio control bar.

Do you see your name (upper right corner) when you key the microphone?  If not, then the device selected is not correct.

If you see your name, then the game is recognizing the microphone is connected.  It could be a firewall blocking the voice server.

If it is a firewall issue, you need to consult your application to find out how to grant an an application unfettered network access.

Thanks for the help everyone but on a chance I deleted my realtech software and did a fresh install and so far head set and mic both are working.
