Title: I for a more family friendly communication in the game.
Post by: RODBUSTR on March 12, 2018, 09:10:40 AM
So about 9AM cst this morning and joeace is asking another player if He would give ptbop a dirty sanchez. while my girlfriend and 10 daughter year old are in the room. Is this an adults only game. If so Maybe A warning of severe language an messaging may be viewed so sensitive young or less morally deprived players or would be players could make a rational decision on whether to take part in any play.

I think most players have over the ear headphones so the other people in there immediate area don't hear what is said on the game. For a lot of people nowadays cursing is just another part of there speech. Also, most people do assume this is a game for adults and assume that the people that hear all the cursing are adult enough to handle it.

Voice can be reported. Right click on the players name and scroll down.

You can fight click the player's name on the roster and report the offending vox or if you've filmed it, send the film into HTC and let them deal with it. Posting here does nothing, especially in the wishlist forum.

I'm spotting a trend where you are concerned. :old:
Take a deep breath. It's a game. Blow stuff off and have fun.

Say what you want guys, but Rod is right. Range Vox gets vulgar real quick. For those that think vulgar language is the norm, go to a nice restaurant, they'll ask you to leave, or try that at a nice store, again they'll ask you to leave. If it is the norm it needs to change. And No I'm no prude, I have been known to slip also, but it's no excuse.

And everyone else in this thread has a bigger point: this isn’t the place to call out individual players for this sort of thing. Take it directly to HTC and keep the drama off the boards.

It was in the chat buffer. and commo about homosexual anal sex is far past curse words. It is deplorable and untolerable or acceptable to many decent people who may think about playing or letting their kids play this game.

This is not a wish item. There are proper procedures to deal with VOX and text anyone feels like it does not belong in the game.
1) Use the report mechanism. 2) For VOX, send us a film at support@hitechcreations.com
Simple and effective.
Using the bulletin board like this is not effective and will not address the problem. Each problem has to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
