HiTech said no to returning the game sounds to like they were in AH2-BUT--0>>GET STARTED!
- With the best combat flight simulator--Aces High takes the art and science of vintage WW1 and WW2 air combat---High fidelity flight simulation is the heart of Aces High--but in WWII all the gv's didn't sound the same-in WWII all the plane engines didn't sound the same.
and where is the whistle for a diving Stuka? I took one up to 10,000ft and no whistle when it dove down to target.
why can't HTC go back to AH2 sounds, maybe it's the only way you can use environmental sounds now but who needs birds and dogs and such.
U can flame me now

Our Stuka model in game was never equipped with the Jericho-Trompete

The sound system that AH has now is far more versatile than the old one we had in AH2. The problem is that they have to buy more sounds, and then build out the libraries for the game to use them. Time and money. Things HTC doesn't seem to have a lot of these days.

So can we change base alert siren to benny hill music or not
This is serious.

Yes, you just need the program fmod to edit the sounds and place them in the right libraries.

In 2016 Hitech posted this very short explanation for how to use FMOD. In custom sounds krupinski got it to work and posted a zip file with a changed stall sound and intro music. Those files should help you get an idea of how to do some basic changes.

oh yes it did because wolf007 and I took them up in AH2 just to see if it worked and it did--we took them up to 10k and pulled out at 2k but we heard them.
-
yeah I saw that post and I changed the intro music and stall sound lol and then I got annoyed at them again and turned them off.
-
well I don't want HTC to spend anymore money than they need to. I will not say anymore about it.

There were custom sound packs where people added the sound in for the siren, but for the model we have, it never had a siren.
-
I added the sound in AH2.. but it replaced the bomb drop whistle, so only went off when you dropped your vw
and followed it down shouting `Die Schweinhunds`
it was fun
-
I'd settle for the current sounds -- minus the siren. Does anyone need a siren to know that a base is under attack?

Your sound pack may have added the sound, but the real life model of Stuka that is found within the game did not have the siren.

AH2 sounds > AH3 sounds
The new sounds were a fix on something that was not broken. There were a bunch of sound packs that let everyone mix and match to get what they wanted.
I especially miss my old Check6 sound. :(

If we could just Yankee on the base attack announcements and maybe Hop with a 'Oohhh Check Six' or something it would be a good change. :P

I have the vehicle sounds nearly complete. I asked people back ten months ago if they wanted an incomplete sound pack and they responded more positively to waiting until the entire thing was finished. It is a ton of work, not like the old sound packs (my first release took 3 years to make). This will make things a lot more realistic; like night and day different.
It's not hard to do if you know how to make your own sounds, modify sounds, and can follow the directions. I even made videos about how to do that.
