Since Patch 7 (last 2 patches) I am back to getting frequent half-second screen freezes in the DX9 version. Prior to this, I only had these micro-freezes when using the DX11 version. Now the DX9 version is acting very much like DX11 used to.
Anyone else having this issue?

I was getting them last night for the hour i jumped on after work. Base was pretty busy with gvs attacking, cv shooting, probably 30 folks defending and attacking.

My screen-freezes seem to be unrelated to the number of players in the area. I was getting them just looking around flying some acrobatic practice with only one player in range. If anything they seem to happen more often when changing views, particularly back to the forward view from another direction.

Pleaese validate that you are running DX9 version by looking at the title bar in the main menu.

I noticed when the game started after it patched it started the dx11 version Kingpin. If you hadn't restarted from the DX9 version that could account for it.

I just remembered that too.. after the patch install it launched dx11

The patcher should have started the last DirectX type (DX9 or DX11) of the game you ran. I'll look into that.
The full version defaults to the DX11 version now.

I had a number of stutter/pauses last night as well. The icon I use to start the game points to the dx9 exe, but it WAS after the patch was installed so Im not sure which version it started after installing.

My DX9 icon started DX11 after the patch.

Same. Path said dx9.exe but window said 11. I made a new shortcut and it worked fine.

My game started on 11 when I hit the shortcut to 9... this corrected when I relogged. But I am getting the micro freezes too in busy bases.

Verified. Title bar says Aces High III (DX9).
