I just wanted to stay I love this game. I was feeling a bit disappointed with the lack of motlivation I was bringing to the game. I thought I would start a new way to play. I obviously look at the maps and read the texts to see what's happening but latley I just take a request from someone (an establish ed veteran, there are lots of them) see if it's something I want to tackle and try and do what they request.(sups, field sups, porking, caping, bombing run etc.) Sometimes if I see a bomber group take off I will try and fly escort For them, most guys are appreciative and it really makes it fun. If that doesn't happen I'll pork a base that might appeal to someone who wants to come and try and take it. Or defense, the knights bread and butter. I admit most of my time is spent in the air and that is my preferred mode of travel. Sometimes I wirb and m4 or m3. But that's it really. Hats off to the tank guys.Lots to do and I'm not bored or frustrated anymore. I guess you could say I simplified my experience and set different goals. I'm sure a lot of you do this anyway. just sharing my situation and may be some one not happy will think about an attitude change and stay and play. I see really cool things players do at times and that helps motivate me as well. I watched Makayla take out a whole field of guns in b 24s? 26s? And didn't for! Amazing. Hope to see you in there. Peace.

Self-made achievements help to keep me interested. Specifically, setting kill count targets in as many different planes as possible. Preferably low end planes for an extra challenge.

I've made it my mission in life (in this game at least) to sink every ship I can possibly find.

Would you be interested in learning how to white flag/deack/dar/vh kill in 1 set of lancs adding another weapon to your arsenal?
The map really opens up for a country when it has 1 or more players who can do this and at least accomplishes the first 2 of the 4.
Its a time investment of about 20-30 minutes at a time so if bombing isnt your thing no need to learn;)

Trying too hard can lead to burnout. May I suggest a break for a short interval. Either that or you can try to rediscover the original reason you started playing and get the flame going again.

There were times I would just go carpet bomb a field or port. .salvo 12, .delay 1, and just put bombs on target, adjusting salvo and delay based on bomber and bomb load used. :)

I find out that while drinking a beer and there's a con on my six it doesnt really matter. i just up again and go hunting him down, unless of course I am drinking a beer again.

For a while (and still do) I find a lot of enjoyment flying a Stuka with the anti tank guns and kerplunk tanks around my base lol

For me, a B-26 x20 100lb loadout @11k salvo 20 delay 0.25 does a good job of smashing a large airfield town.

People chastise me for it and others who do it, but I play for score in the MA to keep interest. It makes every sortie important and forces you to play the entire game (except ship/field gunning). This way, I am inclined to furball, help take bases, destroy towns with bombers/jabos, fight in tanks, and capture bases with goons/GV's.
If you take next month and make your goal to be in the top 50 overall, you will see that you must play every facet of the game and do things you wouldn't normally do (such as not resupplying a field with an M3 because it kills your K/S, K/T, D/S, D/T).

You can quite easily do your share resupply runs and still end up in the top 50 overall, unless that's about all you do.
See my score, I have 33 GV sorties total, of which 6 or 7 (so about 20%) have been resupply runs. Still #3 overall.

Sure you can, but it is inefficient.

What means efficiency exactly in this case? My point was, you don't have to avoid resupplying at at all when you want to get into the top 50. You can get there with, or without. A few runs here and there harldy have any impact on the overall rank. In fact, mine would not had been any better at all if I had refrained from resupply runs. And I would probably have to do scores of additional runs until there would be any change to the worse. (Maybe I will analyze this after conclusion of the current tour).
The 'efficiency' is more theoretical at this point. This only changes when you are specifically going for the #1 spot in vehicles or bombers. This really means you have to plan and put some restraints on your style of playing.
To get into overall top 50, it's sufficient to be a good complete player and doing about everything the MA offers, maybe doing the odd 'pro' score sortie here and there. No need to put too much restraints on your usual playstyle (which generally ain't much fun).
It's relatively easy to get a somewhat high overall rank, because most players couldn't care less about it and just concentrate on a few types of playing which are most fun to them.

Fair enough, considering I said top 50. But, resupplying helps your score in no way. It only hurts it, even if it is minimal.

While I was home this last time, I set a goal of getting 100 kills in a particular plane. I know, the elite pilots get that easily in a day or two.
Took me til the last night I was home, right at 3 weeks, but I reached my goal.
Setting a goal helped keep me interested in staying in the game.
