There seems to be a yellow glow on everything. Did something change with the skin viewer? Top image is the current look in the viewer. Bottom image is from a few weeks ago. I think this happened with the last update.

To me it looks like the angle of the light is different, probably also the amount of light. Look at the shadows on the wings, on the upper plane it looks like direct sunlight is coming from the upper left side of the plane casting shadows right along the right wing. On the lower image the only vague shadow is on the right rear wing like on a cloudy day and the light seems to come from upper front left.
To make my point I opened the Skin Viewer for the first time in years. There's a slider named Light direction and if you set it to 30% or so you'll get the upper image. Set it to 45% for the lower one.

No, the angle of light is not the issue. Look at the canopy. Look at the hue. It’s yellow. The light angle doesn’t affect this—it is effectively the same color regardless. I tested it before submitting the bug report and didn’t bother to match the light angle perfectly for the new screenshot.
I appreciate your input but I’ve been working with this skin viewer for a long while now and it’s definitely not the light angle slider’s fault. Could it be some other setting I messed up somehow? Maybe. But it coincides with the last patch so...

Screenshots prior to last patch show no yellow.

Here is light color from multiple angles before this onset of yellow. The light is basically white.

On my screen I still can't see any yellow. The upper plane seems to have some pink hue, though... Anyhow I admit there seems to be some difference between the two in the parts that look like being similarly illuminated.

Only thing that changed is it now uses DX11 instead of DX9
I also noticed that your top screen shot was taken towards dusk/dawn when the light does change to a yellow.

Hmmmm, well, the hue is yellow at every light angle (like the top screenshot) on my end. The canopy is yellow now instead of gray no matter what I do with the light. :headscratch:
Does the time set in the offline mode carry over to the viewer?

Are you running any post rendering software like SweetFX?

No, sir. Although that would definitely do it. Let me try it again once these storms roll through. It could be a simple cure—like a reboot.

I did a reboot and the yellow is still there, though maybe not as intense as it was before. (Note to self: Reboot after updates just to be on the safe side.) The canopy still shows the yellowing from every angle.
The wings before showed no yellowing at all in low light (see above http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=391983.0;attach=29280 ). I'm guessing the goal is to more accurately reflect the lighting in the arenas, so I see where you're going with it. Perhaps an option to turn that on and off would be useful. Pure light is sometimes helpful for spotting problems. :salute

I just did an experiment with deleting the E map. The yellow disappears from everywhere but remains on the canopy.
-
I can confirm the discoloration also.

The gun ejector ports are yellow now, too. Just posting this to help troubleshoot not to pester you, Hitech. :salute

One more for you to look at in case it helps.
I ran an experiment with Patch 4 compared to Patch 12 (sorry I didn't have a more recent one to use instead of 4). The results are here:

Devil505 and Greebo are seeing the same thing it appears, so at least it is not just me (FINALLY, LOL).

Stumbled across this trying to sort something with the P-51B.
Grays cast yellow in the skin viewer. Ran this with a solid gray ENV map.
Game looks fine, skin viewer looks yellowed. Hope it helps. :salute

Duplicated the issue has something to do with the switch to dx11 in the viewer.

Fixed for next patch red and green channels were inverted when loading the static cube map in dx11.
