Time to talk about college football again! :aok
Things I'm happy about:
-- Michigan gets awesome quarterback Patterson, and he's ruled eligible to play in 2018.
-- Michigan has Ed Warinner (former Ohio State offensive co-coordinator 2012-2016) to run offensive line.
-- Ohio State quarterback J. T. Barrett gets a chance with the Saints. He was an awesome college QB and a great team player. I thought it was really crappy when it looked like no NFL team would give him a shot. Now he at least has a shot, and I'm very glad to see him get it.

Who will win the championship this year?
Alabama? Clemson? Georgia? Ohio State?
MICHIGAN????? :aok
-
When are they expanding the playoff?

College football is the only football.
I'll still be rooting for my Aggies.

Roll Tide, Roll!

Roll Tide, Roll!
They are so good, and such an embarrassment of riches at quaterback. Do you think they'll go with Tagovailoa and that Hurts will transfer? There are so many teams that would want Hurts as their starter, and he's young with years to go.

Look at those TA&M 2019 recruiting rankings! Wow!

I wouldn't be surprised if the starting position is shared, depending on who they play, and if they remain consistent in their respective strengths; I don't think either one will leave if the decision is left to the player.

Maybe PJ Fleck will learn how to coach again instead of further destroying the Gophers program. At the end of the season he held up a chart that looked like the 2018 stock market crash before turning around saying that's what success looks like. Umm... OK. I guess I'm wildly successful then. I'm not holding out hope. Last year was painful.
At least Antoine Winfield Jr's back.

I was really surprised Minnesota got rid of Claeys.
Fleck sure looked impressive, so picking him made sense.
They also probably could have gotten Les Miles.
I'm still astonished that no school has picked up Les Miles. One of the winningest coaches in history.

Ohio State is in the stage of selecting a starting QB. They have very talented choices. They are afraid that the one that they don't pick will transfer and start for another team.
OSU had the 2nd ranked recruiting class in the Nation. Although I must say that doesn't matter if any high 4 or 5 star recruit can't play up to expectations. And they have a bunch.
I can tell you for sure they will have one of the best if not the best defensive line in the nation. Joeys' little brother (NICK) is already considered a first round draft pick at DT in next years draft.
Love to see him alongside Joey playing for the Chargers in LA next year.
It will be another dog fight in college football.

I was really surprised Minnesota got rid of Claeys.
Jerry Kill turned the program around and when he retired for health reasons Claeys, who'd been with Kill for around 20 years, improved on it. When Claeys backed his players, six of whom were suspended over accusations of sexual assault, that was it, despite the fact no investigation had been done yet. I thought he was right in backing them... innocent until proven guilty. In the end three of the six were reinstated and Claeys was gone.
It looks like we have tree QB's and no starters this year.

Yeah, it seemed like PC knee-jerk reaction to me.

Yeah, it seemed like PC knee-jerk reaction to me.
When Claey's publicly backed his players the local media immediately portrayed him as being pro-sexual assault rather that pro-due process and ran with it. How stupid is that?
In the end the collective local media and U of M taught us a valuable life lesson... when you see injustice in the world shut up and turn away.

Purdue should be better. Maybe ruin the season of a someone who posted here. Just found out my season tickets are two sections closer to the 50, too, so that's good, we haven't tried to move in probably 15 years.

There he goes.
Can't blame the guy, of course -- he wants to play.

I saw that Oklahoma is ranked highly in pre-season. What's the new quarterback situation? Must be someone pretty good.

I've begun watching the Amazon series on the Michigan 2017 football season.
It starts out great! :aok
But next episode is the MSU game. :uhoh
