Any golfers have any good websites / youtube channels that have lessons or tips for a beginner?

Best thing for a new golfer is to get a "19th hole"  outfit.

I have not hated golf when I have tried it, but cost-enjoyment ratio is just not high enough for me.

Maybe I'll get a boat...  :lol :bolt:

Here's a key lesson for beginners.

If you are starting from scratch take some group lessons, they are cheaper than 1 on 1 training and will help you get the basics down.  Short game is tough, but most courses have a chipping and putting area that you can use for free, or after hitting a bucket.

I cannot recommend these guys enough:

https://www.youtube.com/user/meandmygolf

Check out Rick Shiels and Peter Finch too.  Chris Ryan has a lot of good stuff for beginners as well.

But the meandmygolf beginner stuff has millions of views.  They helped my bunker game enormously as an example.

Really good guys too, in fact Piers is coming down here on June 26 with his girlfriend for a two week holiday.

For some interesting stuff on Igram check out my profile, follow me and I will follow back:

@gotobermudagolf

Love golf.  Message me with any questions at all.

Me and My Golf is good    :aok

but recommend you take lessons now from a PGA instructor......because changing old habits is difficult.
1. Balance......keeping weight on both feet......(60/40 on front foot).....2. and don't shift weight onto the back foot during
the back swing will help you avoid what is called chunking. 3. An instructor will show you a grip that will help you avoid slicing
and fade.

It is better to hit the ball 10-20 yards less with a nice fluid swing and hit it straight (or you will lose lots of balls and waist allot of time looking for them). You can always add distance later once you are hitting straight by adding club speed.

Good luck,

 :salute

I have a special club in my bag,it's called a frustration iron, or FI on the head.

The shaft is plastic coated and made from a coiled spring, you can wrap that sucker around any convenient tree with a good swing, then it uncoils and you put it back in the bag!   Way cheaper than replacing thrown or snapped clubs just dont try to hit a ball with it! :devil

The only  tip I have is keep your head down and swing slowly, most swing too hard and try to watch where the ball goes,if you hit it properly you will have plenty of time to lift your head and watch the ball land!

Oh and drive for show, putt for dough!

Mick, in a couple of weeks a segment will be aired on TSN (Canadian Sports Network) as part of a show called Score Golf.  It is called The Weekend Golfer.  I will throw up a link to it once it airs, but Scott (the host) stayed at our golf Villa and I played a couple of rounds with him.  Should be a good show.

Reason I raise it is because Scott did a segment a few months back with 20 golf hacks, that are actually quite useful:

Enjoy

Thanks for the follow.  I followed you on two of my other Igram accounts too in case you are wondering.  One is our Guesthouse, the other the account for the Villa.
