Title: Who did we rip up?

The Screaming Blue Messiahs, (with pigs and tigers) intercepted a IJA bomber force with escorts bound for A8.  WE ripped them up pretty bad.  

Just wondering how many made it and who you were?

Your twelve (12) F4Us engaged six (6) Ki-61s of the 308th Sentai.
Becker and I pulled 5 off of the initial attack and killed all of them.
But the rest of your group got through and did alright against the bombers and the four remaining escorts.
Then after the bombers had RTBed we got silly and lost some planes to 3 high F4Us west of 48.
If we ever get some parity in numbers and altitude you guys are in trouble.
All chest beating aside, thanks for a fun fight.     :)

KJ, it couldn't have been Funked. I thought we were co-alt with those 5 KI's.  ;)

FDBs were the bombers you intercepted...nice work!  I was the first bomber downed.  I saw an F4U diving in and was calling the 6's of my four squaddies behind me as the con came in closer and closer to my six (he was coming in to nail me).  What a tard, I died very quickly as I was jumping to a gunner position!  LoL!   :D

Heh. Funked's film has 14 F4Us coming after 6 Ki-61s and 6 Ju88s (well, maybe 8; I didn't count them).
Anyway, I (CFIT) was one of the poor escort guys.  3 or 4 Ju-88s dropped on the target; myelo and sally made multiple passes and landed at 48.  Funked and Becker punched out 5 planes.  The 308th lost some A/C -- particularly in the late furball (you guys _did_ have alt on us the whole time, and it was probably my fault.  I was setting up to land and refuel my element when Fd-Ski spotted the three survivors 15,000 feet above us.  If I had maintained alt, we would have been on top of you).  Anyway, Becker and I managed to land.

All I remember now is the fun I had.  Oh and some bombers going down, that was fun.  Oh, and the lask ki-61 I got.  hehehehe
