Title: Unable to set clouds in custom arena

In a created arena, I cannot get clouds to upload.

For example, I have the file fjordfury.awa in chconfig\nrthseaw

I can select nrthseaw as the terrain, go offline, and type ".sweath fjordfury" to get it in an offline session.

When I create an online custom arena, select "nrthseaw" as the terrain, go in and type ".sweath fjordfury", it replies "cannot find nrthseaw/fjordfury.awa".

However, I do have fjordfury.awa in chconfig\nrthseaw and verify that it works offline.

Clouds can not be uploaded in custom arenas.

Does that mean he has to build the weather file with the terrain each time he wants to change his weather?

No, I can make cloud files for the special events arenas and for offline practice.  Those work just fine.

I was just wondering about custom arenas that players can make -- those you can't upload cloud files to -- but everything else works (and has been working) fine.

The reason is if anyone could upload those files, they could replace special event files with out anyone knowing.

My bad, I was not specific. For custom arena terrains do you then have to include the awa file in the build and change it with subsequent builds if you want a different weather file. In the SEA I've watched the CM's launch the awa file late becasue someone forgot to do it earlier than our launch time.

Howdy, Bustr.  I'm not sure how you get clouds into custom arenas (the ones players can start up in the "player" tab).

Put the awa file in either the custom folder or the root project folder. Forget which. Run a build and that weather system will be incorporated and start up by default when you run the terrain.res file. To clear it out remove the awa file and run a build.

If you wisht to build a weather file in terrain, you put the file in the terrain folder with the same name as the terrain.

I.E. ndisles.awa in ah3terr/ndisles

But bustr man not be understanding the issue, does buster have privs in any arenas to know about the upload weather?
