:salute Watched the "In His Words" special Fri. evening. He was a remarkable man. I always like hearing his opinions..agree or not. Always had something to say that would just resonate and make you think deeper about the issue. His story of perseverance just made it so much deeper in the respect I already had for him. He will be missed. Think Brent Hume summed it up perfectly(Paraphrased) I dont know if HE was all that religious...but the GOD I worship would want Charles by his side.

One of the most intelligent people I've heard speak.  His observations were well thought out and presented eloquently.   There was nothing that he said that I could find fault with.

God Speed.

The man typified the comeback attitude after his paralysis. Made a hell of a life for himself. A brilliant intellect, very erudite and professional in his speech / writing. RIP.

He was wrong about a lot, and would often admit it later, but he always explained why he came to his conclusions.

That’s the thing.  He didn’t quit after that happened to him.  Gotta’ admire him for it.
