What he says :old:
Allow me to translate, since Fess has too much blood in his alcohol system to function properly ATM:
"Is there a 64-bit version of Aces High III?"
-
V is correct although to be honest I would have thought since this is the Aces High forum it would be obvious that I was refering to that game.
-
A 64 version of bit? Or a bit version of 64? :bolt:

Trust me, it was obvious. Obtusiveness is seen as a virtue in some circles I suppose.

I think the DX11 version is only 32bit, not 64bit.
-
Obviously the game is 32 bit since it runs on 32 bit operating systems as well. 32 bit programs run very well on a 64 bit system. Running a 64 bit application on a 32 bit system can be done by using emulators or other artificial tricks - something that is not meant for the average Joe.

I think I remember we discussed this before? In a 32-bit game you get 4GB of memory, which should be all AH needs. I think they load everything into memory and they really don't need more. If that is still true, then the only benefit a 64-bit version would provide would be concerning artificial intelligence which we don't have. Ah does have a limited AI (I think), but even that doesn't need a 64-bit version. In AH I would expect a 64-bit version might be needed if you wanted AI that could learn and modify its actions.
Now, graphics cards have a completely different system for bit-widths (I think 256-bit actually). That's why a GPU can do textures, vertices, 3D audio, PhysX, and so on all at the same time.

not a computer genius but I think the correct answer to the question is no. why? he didnt ask

Lol Semp thank you very much. Good to see someone is able to respond to a simple question with a simple answer
