Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin.
This Ki-61 was flown by Lt Yasuhiko Hiranuma of the second squadron of the 244th Fighter Group during 1945. It had three rank stripes on its rear fuselage as well as the wide white fuselage and wing ID bands used by IJAAF fighters flown in the defence of their homeland. Lt Hiranuma survived the war and was credited with damaging two B-29s.

Fantastic job.
The 244th had the best schemes. So many variations, and all of them are stunners.

Very very very nice.

Thanks guys. I'll probably do a NMF and also a solid green 244th FG Ki-61 at some point in the future. As the default skin is from the 244th HQ flight and this is from the 2nd squadron, to keep the naming simple I'll pick one each from the ramming flight and 1st squadron for the other two. There are no known photos of aircraft from the 3rd squadron.

Your aluminum is rocking. Is there an all aluminum one you can fill a slot with?
-
I have done one NMF Ki-61 already but I will do more at some point.

Wow Greebo! :aok
The nose of the Ki.61 on the last screenshot looks as close to real aluminum as I have seen. Well done sir.

That is certainly the most likely candidate for the NMF one.
