Title: Weird graphics issue
Post by: atlau on July 20, 2018, 01:28:38 PM
Hi, I'm getting some weirdness w/ my graphics. Notice the prop hub is visible from inside the plane as well as the AAA pits don't look right. On my external view you can see the bombs thru the wing.

Any ideas?

Figured id add my monitor is 75 hz, vsync is enabled but showing in game frame rate of 100+. Is vsync not working correctly?

Been doing some troubleshooting. No issues with dx9. Only dx11.

The prop being inside the canopy might be explained by the current heat wave we're having here...

I suggest you rename your settings folder to settings.prob or something like that in case Skuzzy wants to inspect it. The game will rebuild the folder the next time you start it. If there's nothing wrong with the graphics, you can copy the .jsm and .kmp files from the old settings folder to the new one so you don't have to remap your controllers and keys.

A DXDIAG output might be helpful as well.  Do you allow Windows to update drivers?

I found that when i reinstalled the Nvidia drivers the problem went away initially. Now they appear to be back. Dx9 always worked fine. Strange.

I experienced this as well and the cause in my case was due to running an EVGA Overclocking software with onscreen overlay enabled. I don't know why but when I turn off the onscreen overlay (which shows gpu clock speeds, fps, temps, etc.) the problem goes away. Hope this helps.

Fixed! I thought it had something to do with the OC. Surprised it was actually the overlay

Overlays that mess with Z depth can cause graphic anomalies.
