So those feets make me crazy.
Official internation units in SI are meters no feets. So why all units in AH except UK air speed meter are in MPH?
LW planse in with MPH meter is real strenght.
Alt in those planes also was in km not in feed. There is only 2 country useing those NONstandart units, so why all planes have to have same ??
N1K interface should be in Japanese until you will FIX his mad fly abilities :D

Thank kod HTC isn't Chinese company...

But its company with customesr from differnt countrys ... or they wanna have only US customers ?
It seems in current times. Many good old wolfs left us.
well many peoples talking about how to get close to realy .. but this basic think has been forgoten...
It will definitly make difrent ammong LW and non LW pilost :)
HEY WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT IT PLAYERS ?!
btw.: if somebody think that all languages whitch he cant understand is same toejam, then he only show us his simplicity. I told japanes symbols not chinese. Those symbols have few same old symbols only. But new chinese and new japanes is quite diffrent. And if somebody cant reconize it..... its his problem :D

They standardized along the lines of either the system they were most familiar with or along the lines of the system their largest market is familiar with. It both cases, HTC being American and their largest market bwing the USA, that system was the Imperial system.
Why did they do it that way? They have said that they did so in order to make it as easy as possible to fly all of the aircraft. By standardizing they eliminated the potential confusion about speed and altitude.
Was it the right thing to do? I don't know.

Lets make same thing to FM to eliminated the potential confusion. :D
IMO If this is so realistic simulator the different units should not bo a problem.

Yeah, I'm Australian, speak English n a lil Spanish and I have trouble flying foreign lanquage aircraft which use correct instrumentation.
Even so I enjoy the flight sim experience much more when my FW190 does'nt have gauge instrumentation labeled in English etc! Might be something to do with the fact that very few FW190's were like that. K's in LW, FT in Allied, Russian in Russian and Japanese in Japanese. Thats the way they were and when I fly a WWII AC thats what I expect to find.
And even though the game is possibly aimed at the American market, theres a hell of a lot of Japanese, Korean, Aussie, English n others who pay their hard earned dollars each month who also need to be catered too.

Although there once was a spit with German instrumentation n a DB603, apparently kicked bellybutton too :D

I haven't heard anybody mention how much time it would take them to actually make such a change. It would not be trivial.
Make no mistake, it would be a lot of work for them to do something like that. Personally, I'd rather have a couple of new aircraft and some new game features. For HTC to do something like you suggest they would have to sacrifice other things on the "to do" list. So far, I like their priorities just fine. :D

LMAO!
Seems you guys need to go back to basics. You shouldn't be staring at your gauges wondering why they aren't in german or metric. You need to be checking 6 -> because someone like me who doesn't give a damn what language his gauges are in his gonna be hosing you with 20mms!

S!
A game made for US market...There's the biggest customer base so why bother changing the few planes to SI or even offer an option to have either FT or SI ;)This option seems to work pretty well in WB though.
The gauges don't need to be in original language, but in english for easy access.Or maybe another option for original language/english? ;)

Actually would'nt take long at all in regards to the coding, very simple algorithm for the needles, maybe 5 or six lines of code n a couple of quick replacements for text "slide slip", "MPH" etc
Whats so hard about that?
-
in FA u can easily change the mph to kmh and feet to meters in the setup option shouldnt be a big deal (i think)
im used to the metric system in real life but when it comes to online or offline flight sims i think im getting so used to mph and feet that i will have problems if there is a change to metric right now lol :D
