Title: Photo Request - Formation of MTO P-51 FG Commanders

There is a photo or two out there of four P-51s, one each from the various MTO Fighter Groups.  I actually saw one in color.  I recall seeing a Red Tail (No. 7), the Diagonal Red of the 31st FG, a Checkertail (#00), and a Yellow Tail.    Anyone know what I am talking about?  The color version was from low and left behind the formation.


This/These photo/photos is/are from that same formation I think.

I noticed the nose art is present in the color one but is not in the B&W I posted.   Censors?

Look at the closeups I posted.  There is no nose art.  If you look at the one you posted you can see nose art on two of them.  It's as if they airbrushed out the nose art for the newspapers or something.  Weird.
