I`m planning to fly for the Duce, so anyone else better be quick when registration opens, or I might grab it first. :D

Deuce as in C.202?

Deuce as in C.202?
Duce is pronounced (roughly) "dew' chey". Deuce is pronounced (roughly) "doose". Not the same at all. MH

Duce as the "leader". I do not want to go political or promote dictatorship, just along the lines of motherland, fatherland, comrade etc jokes.

Thank you for this, I was unaware. Italian is not one of my strengths although my Latin is becoming stronger. I should have known, though, considering this type of leader would be dux. I am uncertain if the condescension was necessary, but I do appreciate the knowledge, :salute.
asterix, we hope to add you as a pilot of the C.202, and we still do not have a group lead.

Macchi C.202 Folgore is the descendant of the racing red floatplanes of the Schneider Trophy races. In October over Pantelleria and the surrounding seas it is to engage in a different and more deadly contest and possibly meet the ultimate challenge of the Supermarine design. Italians showed that it can do the job. Can we?
:salute

Starting from October 6th the C.202 pilots will put mucho in front of the macho and top in front of the gun.

Macci 202 was the best unarmed fighter of the war :old:
I flew it last time we had this scenario. This time I am willing to trade the smooth handling, pimp-like leopard skin, and NERFTM guns, for something with actual cannons. Maybe 190A5, or 109G2? I dunno, all these planes seem so small, with too few engines. Well, there's the P38G, but that one looks like a bagel with the big hole in the middle. Besides these planes are so un-organic and my navigator has no where to sit. :headscratch:

This photo seems to be about the C.205, but it is similar to C.202. :D
