Title: A map revival
Post by: RODBUSTR on August 07, 2018, 01:21:40 PM
Hi folks, I mentioned It in a post earlier , but I can't recall  the map name.   It had V85 and V86 in the south east  section of the map and was a great Gv battleground.  It would be  greatto see that map back in the rotation....

Compello?  I THINK that was the name of the map, or something along that line. :headscratch:

It was taken out of rotation becasue we don't have the numbers to support a 20x20 sector terrain.

Too bad.  Maybe in the future  That part of Compello map can be utilized in a new one.    One of the things  many players here don't get. is dilution of forces and the effectiveness of the cohesive front.  If They did, map size would not matter as much. and the battle lines  more consolidated.  And that would help in the ability to find larger scale action.

With the new terrain features it probably would be a wood cutters dream.
For tankers looking for instant gratification in AHIII a nightmare.

Rod,

If you know so much about all of this, build a terrain. How many have you built so far?

The ability to push verts and understanding the flow of a map are two very different things.

Why is that your answer to everything bustr?

Once you get one into rotation you can answer your question for yourself.

How’s that going to answer a question?

No single one person has all of the answers and should not assume that they do.

Your answers are very condescending, if you have nothing of value to reply with, why reply at all?

Is it a self importance thing?

I personally feel that you are hostile too often too quickly when it comes to maps my friend.. just saying from my point of view...

yes most of us know you work hard on them and yes most of us know they are hard to make so no one does them, but then again not everyone has hung on every thread about maps for 10 years.
