Title: If you are using firewall... unable to connect to game manager....
Post by: fd ski on August 10, 2018, 03:23:21 PM
game worked fine last night.

Now i get an error as in title when starting.
Nothing ( to my knowledge ) changed since yesterday. I can ping IPs of arenas fine as listed in other networking treads.

Tried restarting. Some windows update went though, but i get no popups on firewall and AH has full access configured there.
Any ideas ? :(

Supposedly you're using Windows 10 with the built-in firewall. Find the firewall settings (type "firewall" after clicking the window icon in the left bottom corner, I suppose), find AH in the firewall settings and allow it in all instances you can find. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Many Windows 10 updates do reset network settings back to default.

Can't blame everything on Windows 10.   :old:

No, but as the OP said, there was some Windows Updates installed and Win10 is known for making drastic changes in features during updates. The other supported versions of Windows seem to only have some minor security patches in their updates. I'm not saying Win10 is a poor product, it's just new enough to be under development whereas the mainstream support of 7 and 8 has ended, leaving them only to be patched instead of being improved.
