Post by: Skuzzy on August 16, 2018, 02:52:56 PM
Aretha Franklin was one of a kind.  She will be missed, but left such a legacy.

She could give you goose bumps, then come back at you soft as a kitten.  The range and emotion she poured into music was always second to none.

I have a original single on Columbia of Evil Girl by Franklin, her sister Erma Franklin was a good singer as well, her early music very very good

Like I said , I don’t care what music genre you listen to.  Aretha influenced them all. She truly was an original.

I remember seeing "FREEWAY OF LOVE" on MTV in Junior High.  I wasn't much of an MTV junkie at all, but I vividly recall that one.  I had no real concept of who she was back then of course, being a young country music fan.  What a life she had.

I was playing pool tonight and all we played for music was this woman of soul. God Bless Aretha.
