Title: Your funeral song
Post by: FESS67 on August 17, 2018, 02:51:44 AM
All the chat of low numbers and general doom and gloom reminded me of the songs I have picked out for my funeral.  I have a couple of heart attacks under my belt and who knows if I will survive the third so I decided to plan ahead  :)

My wife is under strict instructions that this is the main song I want.  It is a tribute to my time with her.  Listen to the words.  What is your song?

I intend to live forever so this is not even a concern.    :old:

I am quite a bit older than my wife so I will probably go long before she does. I'll probably have Brad Paisley "Waitin' On A Woman" for at least one song.

FESS, right click on video,/copy video url  if you want to embed.
I would prefer same tunes i'm listening this days, powerful, uplifting to give my soul a sense of elevation when  detaches  the body. Max volume to keep my consciousness awake enough not to follow the light described by NDE patients ; it's a trap , those who follow the light end up back here on Earth ,experiencing death again in same body; i would try some other corner of Universe in next tour.

What is your song?

Hmmmm.  Somewhat grim task.  Haven't thought about it before.  I missed the "you must have a funeral song" movement.

Did the Mormon Tabernacle Choir ever do "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"?  I should look into that...

I'd embed the video but the song name has forbidden language.

My singing voice is bad enough right now.  If I start singing at my funeral, people are gonna freak out.

If I am dead I doubt i would care much about funeral music. It could be Justin Bieber for all I care.
