Again, thanks to the CM's for running "Clearing the Philippines" and to Exile for his hard work on maintaining the scoring page, etc.

When will the 'Black Sea' TOD begin?

MAG-33 is available wherever you need us, either side.  Expect MAG-33 to be about 15 members.

Frame 1 -- December 21st
Frame 2 -- January 4th
Frame 3 -- January 11th

Great .. I am busying sounding out my guys to see how many are interested in flying in Black Sea. I think the Nightmares VMF-101 should be putting up roughly around the same numbers as this TOD 14 - 16 but I am waiting for all their responses to see if I should drop the squad committment down to 11 - 15 or keep it up at 16 - 20.

Will probably know what bracket range say by midweek.

Hi All,
Will the "Black Sea" TOD be run on the maps currently on the downloads page? If so we are in for a real treat, both summer & winter maps are awesome <S>. Sundog

We will be using the Black Sea map.  I'm not entirely sure whethere it's the summer or winter one.

Both are available for download from the HTC website.  The map that we will be using will be loaded prior to the event for those who wait until the last munite ;)

I'm getting ToD withdrawal already. After the first round of Big Week... sigh... and I'm not talking about the buff/alt issues.

ToD has really spoilt me, yesterday it was all:
 - why do I have to relog for squad
 - what do you mean 1 life
 - land? ummm I never had to in the MA
 - what do you mean I shouldn't have exited
 - what little hut on the rearm pad
 - oops
 - how do i check 6 when i can't see behind the seat
 - and constant clicks on RW from someone with their mic on auto

ohhhhhhh how ToD has spoilt me...  :)

LoL Vulcan, I think the winner was Helmut who was a walkon with your squad in the second frame...  I don't think he'd ever even played before.  :)

Another beaut was Zanshin.  He was meant to be a walk on with us in the second frame but he upped at the wrong spawn point then broke his gear trying to taxi over to us.  He then ignored our radio comms and logged hehe.

Bring on the TOD!  It's a haven of good organisation next to the circus that is BW (no disrespect to the CM's intended btw).

How many people normally fly TOD's on both sides?

And what time of day Black Sea will be? I want to fly Eastern Front event big way, but if it is not euro friendly... Sigh.

Fariz I don't have exact figures but it's between 100 and 150 usually.

It starts at 11 pm Eastern US time on Friday nights...which I guess would be very early Saturday morning for Euros.  Just stay up late or wake up real early.   :)

Heh, you just didn't get good replacement pilots.  our replacement did a find job, and our squad as a whole was fantastic.  Hope it goes as well this weekend.
