Hi, I have had this glitch for months or maybe longer. On some maps, and certain bases, I can see the bases and towns floating in the air several hundred feet, It varies. On one of the maps on the north part there is a wall of land that stretches all the way up to the max height, if i fly into the wall it kills me. No one else can see this wall and they can fly through it. Ill get screen shots and movies when i see that map agin. Also in the ocean i see ships that appear to be on land, trees and all in the ocean. Some places on the maps i get intense flickering of the ground like strobe lights, also bombing strats most of the time the buildings seen though the bombsite and unclear and flicker off and on, its very distracting.
I added a screen shot of my system info, and GPU info, and a couple videos of the floating bases/ flickering ground. I can send more screen shots and films if needed.
Please let me know what i can do to fix this issue. Thanks

Hey firebird, it will help HTC even more if you could run DXDIAG report on your PC, then save it as a text file, then attach it to a post in this thread
Hope this helps

i posted a couple videos too on my first post

A little more of your DxDiag output would be nice. At least down to and including your sound devices.
You don't have to copy-paste it here, you can add it as an attachment by using the - Attachments and other options feature right below the typing window. That helps with the text limit.
-
i posted a couple videos too on my first post
Here is what I see running your film.....
https://youtu.be/AbdkNANgNiU
So it is definitely something on your end. Do you get this on both on-line AND off-line?
-
attached full dxdiag, yea on my screen in the video when i fly under the town i can see it floating about 100ft above ground and can see water under the town. ill try offline now, and try to get better video. sometimes the bases are a few thousand feet in the air above ground
-
Did you install that video driver update or did you allow Windows 10 to do it?
If you let Windows 10 do it, I would suggest getting the latest driver from NVidia, then remove the current driver and install the one you downloaded.
-
I have the Invidia GEforce experiance, its supposed to keep drivers up to date. ill delete my driver and download from the website. also yes the glitch still appears in offline mode
-
ok it wants to redownload the GEforce experiance and the driver. im unsure at the steps to take to uninstall my driver, then install the new driver
-
ok, i downloaded the new driver and did this "clean install option" , attached is the screen shot. let me know if this is the right way, thanks
-
Basically that should be good enough since you're not changing the card.
However, unless you're using your monitor speakers through HDMI, it's recommended not to install the Nvidia sound drivers and also disable the Nvidia High Definition Audio device in the Device Manager. For other speakers/headset you'd be using your Realtek sound system on your motherboard. The 3D things are also meaningless unless you have a 3D monitor with fancy glasses which according to your DxDiag you don't. So doing another "clean install" with the new drivers would be recommended after having uninstalled the current ones in Programs and Features (right click the Windows logo in the down left corner).
-
"So doing another "clean install" with the new drivers would be recommended after having uninstalled the current ones in Programs and Features (right click the Windows logo in the down left corner)"
can you tell me specifically the steps to uninstall the gpu driver, and then i redownload and install the new driver afterwards? ty im a pc dummy
-
hang on i googled it, working on it now
-
OK, so you have the new drivers downloaded in your Downloads folder, right?
Uninstall all the Nvidia drivers in Programs and Features which you can find in the Settings, or by a shortcut by right-clicking the Windows logo down left and left-clicking "Programs and Features". When you've uninstalled them, choose the same shortcut and left-click "Device Manager". There you should find your Sound devices. Disable the Nvidia High Definition sound device (right click for a shortcut) but leave the Realtek High Def. Audio as is.
After having done that, reinstall the drivers from your Downloads folder, this time unchecking those I mentioned. And yes, check the Clean install box.
If by chance you would need to make sure all of your previous drivers are gone, there's third party programs for wiping them off. But that's another story.
-
Ok, done. Let me try the game now
-
ok i tried offline, same map and base as before, glitch still exist, here is a screen shot. u can see the water under the town . and a new video. use external view in film viewer
-
Just a wild far fetched guess... What would happen if you shut down your computer by pressing the Shift button while clicking Shutdown? And then normally starting, of course? That's a magic trick that has saved my bacon more than once in various situations...
-
ok i tried it, no dice :(
-
im trying deleting and reinstalling the game now
-
Ok fresh install, i made a online arena and tested same map. The glitch was gone. Trying to fly to sane base in main arena to check but knits are taking over lol. Ill do more testing. Seems to have worked though
-
Thank you all for the help today <S>

have the Invidia GEforce experiance, its supposed to keep drivers up to date
I recommend not loading this feature, personally.... and just update your GPU drivers manually....
For the same reasons Bizman posted to get rid of the Nvidia hdmi sound driver, 3D driver, etc....
TC
Edit: being on Windows 10, you might find that it will possibly get reinstalled automatically when W10 updates....same goes for the other features/drivers Bizman posted about
