Mine is the lack of Westland Whirlwind. That's where this game went all wrong. We'd be on AH5 by now with 33 arenas and 18 countries if I'd have got my Westland Whirlwind :old:
Yes this is just for fun. Play nice, about time this place was a bit more entertaining and less serious.

- I saw communities moving to IL-2 and now to DCS World
- And guys who want arcade style of play and not fly sims go to WT.
What I do notice is one thing that many players are interested is non-WW2 gameplay...
I'd love to fly some F-4s, F-5, F-86, MiG-15s, MiG-21s, Mirages and Hues....

the regular players we lost-some probably died :pray :salute
some said in the last days of AH2 that they were not going to upgrade their computer to play AH3, I almost fell into that category if not for a couple of friends.
some came over didn't like what they saw-trees water nighttime-basically the graphics didn't change enough to make them stay.
FTP games-that in the long run aren't free-upgrades cost.
maybe real life stuff.

maybe some people just get tired of playing the same game year after year{hard to believe}
due to some unfortunate circumstances I was out for 7 months but I thought about this game every day, and did everything I could to get back.
I was even paying 116.00 a month just for internet for 2 years just so I could play here. I pay a lot less now hehe.
I didn't even have a computer until 2006 when I saw an ad for Aces Hight2 on the Military or history channel, then went in debt to get a computer, wasn't even interested in computers until I saw the ad.
I don't no why people are leaving.

A drastic change is probably necessary but a drastic change might also end this once and for all.
If we are going to go slow bleed then I'd start by admitting that we have 1996-1999 Air Warrior III Europe Theater numbers (about 150 per arena) and then ask why we're still playing maps better served by 2-3 times that number, and if that still makes sense.

AMEN Brother! Id love a good modern combat sim land sea air even space-(recon) similar to AH style of play. Who knows maybe HiTech is working on one.
