Title: enhanced plane and vehicle comparisons
Post by: caldera on August 22, 2018, 06:57:56 AM: Something many different games have is a simplified way to compare selectable items, so the player can decide what to choose based on their style of play.
For AH, it's nice to have the climb rate and speed charts available in the hangar but for a new player, a more broad generalization of the plane's capabilities would make it more user-friendly.

Take the plane comparison from the AH home page and expand it to include more information, but simplify it to a scale of 1-10. Then enable it in the hangar.

These numbers are made up, but having this tool in the hangar would help new players more than just ENY values.

I kinda like it. most of what I know about the planes comes straight from our outdated wiki. I think this is very beneficial for new players.

For any given speed climb rate and acceleration are exactly the same thing. I.E. Linear related.

So if a spit climbs better at 200 mph then a yak it also accelerates better at 200 mph. Both are simply excess horse poser. I.E. Thrust HP - Drag HP
