the dude who played Radar on the movie AND the TV series was the same no? What am I missing here? :headscratch:

I watched MASH in the 70's, right up to the last episode...  :old:

Yes, he was in both.  The only member of the cast to have that distinction. 

Also...

Having played the character in the feature film, the television series, and two of its spin-offs, Gary Burghoff is the only actor to portray Radar. Trapper John, M.D. is the only version or spin-off of M*A*S*H in which Burghoff does not appear.

Apparently Pernell Roberts (Trapper John, M.D.) remained outside of icon range from him at all times.

He was just saying what so many are saying on the boards recently in regards to "radar"...... "I liked the old one better".
